At Black Diamond, Washington on my Diamondback Assault

My quiver is growing: The 2011 Diamondback Assault.

It’s aluminum, burly and beautiful.

Billy shreds on the Diamondback Dreamliner.

I’m getting there. Having a lighter jump bike helps. When I ask, the Assault dances. It opens up a whole new arena of trails to me. Rather than surrendering to the locomotive-power of the big bike as it hauls down a trail, I can flirt with the flow of the jumps and berms. I can sail through the manicured lines, attacking them with a sense of… grace.

Or attempt to. Actually… I have a long way to go.
