An amateur photographer and new to Seattle, my brother recently checked out the Colonnade–with an artist’s eye. The urban mountain bike playground rests under the I-5 in Seattle’s Eastlake district. It’s a place for riders to go when it rains and houses a pump track, a snake run, some jump lines, a few gnarly dh shoots, lots of skinny stuff and a beginner’s area of obstacles. Unfortunately, though, the place doesn’t get much upkeep, making some of the stuff pretty sketchy. Regardless, it’s a place to ride when there are no others. And because I’m not out there tossin’ dirt, I can’t bitch. Below are some nice shots that Eric captured of the place. They get me excited to ride.
